Yesterday Summer went to her first day of school. She was very excited, right up until the bus came. Then she grabbed my leg, started crying, and said she just couldn't go to school. I felt mean because I told her she had to go and had to be brave, then I pushed her up the stairs of the bus. I was concerned for the next few hours that she was miserable, but it turns out that I shouldn't have worried. She loved school and thought it was totally fun.

That is pretty normal ... VERY nervous at first but then seeing it's all OK and Mom is there at the end of the day. There was a cute little boy in the cafeteria this morning absolutely crying his eyes out wanting his mommy.
