Spring Break
This year the kids got a two-week spring break. Colorado Springs schools love giving days off, but then summer break is only two months long. I guess it works, just a little different from what I'm used to. Anyway, the first week we took a trip to San Antonio. Matt had to work so he couldn't go, but he's coming with us when we go in May. The trip was short, but lots of fun. The weather was perfect and they've gotten lots of rain lately so everything was green and beautiful. Of course, the best part was seeing my family, and I had the special privilege of meeting my new niece and nephew. Mac and Penny are adorable and sweet and funny, and I just love them. But...I forgot my camera. I forgot to pack a lot of stuff. I didn't actually think we'd make the flight so I didn't pack very well.
The next week the kids spent lots of time outside, playing computer games, watching tv, making messes and ending up a little bit bored. But one night we all went to a place called ITZ (kinda like Boondocks in Utah). The kids loved it and I enjoyed playing some skeeball. Our other fun outing was to check out the Garden of the Gods. I didn't know much about it, but I wanted to go hiking and it's only twenty minutes away. What a cool place! It was gorgeous and has lots of fun rocks to climb on. We will definitely be going back soon.

Don't squish Sinjin! Wish I could have been in SA at the same time. One day we'll have to plan that. Miss you, friend.
