Grandma and Grandpa

My mom and dad finally got to come visit Colorado Springs. This was their third attempt so we were really excited. We filled just about every hour we could with cool things to see, games, food and fun times. The first day we drove up to Denver to pick them up and then went to the Museum of Natural History and Science. That place is pretty awesome and the kids had a blast. We stopped at Cafe Rio for lunch and then headed home. The next day we visited a cool Victorian mansion in Manitou Springs called Miramont Castle. It is a beautiful restored home built in 1890 with the best views I think I've ever seen out of a window. Then we drove up the Pikes Peak Highway. That is quite an adventure. We stopped at Crystal Creek Reservoir for lunch...super pretty blue water and aspen trees starting to change colors. Too bad I accidentally brought my old camera that doesn't work anymore. Then we drove to the top of Pikes Peak, all 14,000 feet. The road is a little scary but it's an awesome experience to be up there. The next day was church and games and then Monday we went to Garden of the Gods. It was a perfect day for it, not too cold or hot and not crowded. I've decided it's one of my favorite places in Colorado Springs. Now we're missing Grandma and Grandpa, but we're super glad they came!
