New Beginnings

It might appear that I've been a total slacker for the last four months, but I actually have some decent excuses. First of all, I had to give Matt our computer at the end of April because he needed it for his Army training. Then, we moved out of our house and into my Relief Society president's basement, where I couldn't get internet. Then we finally get to Colorado and find out we have to wait two weeks to get internet because they don't have enough cables in our area. But now I have no more excuses, and my house is pretty much in order, so I can finally catch up with my blog. I'll quickly summarize our summer. We sold our house in June and moved into Betty Gardner's basement. She is the nicest lady and let us completely take over her basement. It was interesting living there with no kitchen and hardly any of our stuff. But it was a great blessing since we had to be out of our house but couldn't yet move to Colorado Springs. We finished the summer by going to Houston for Essie's black belt test. She did so well and passed with flying colors, or actually like a flying black ninja. That was really cool and we are all so proud of her. Grandma, Grandpa, Angie and Charlie were even nice enough to drive out and watch her. We then immediately came to our new house in Colorado Springs. We finally get to be with Matt again and we're absolutely loving our new house. Sometimes I start to tear up thinking about Utah and everything we left behind. That was our home for so long and we loved it. But Colorado Springs is a beautiful place and we're settling in just fine. Here are a few pictures of our house in The Springs-as all the natives call it.

You might want to take out the address ... don't mean to be paranoid but no reason to make it like super obvious. :/
