I haven't written anything for a while. I get out of the habit and then I don't even blog when we do something exciting. In January we went on two fun trips. The first was to see Matt in South Carolina. I finally got to see the apartment that is draining our bank account. That place costs a fortune to heat and then it still felt cold enough to wear a jacket the whole time we were there. Oh well, it was great seeing Matt. Columbia is a nice city. We drove downtown to go for a walk along a river and on the way back we discovered the coolest cemetary. It's next to an old Episcopalian church and there are all kinds of Civil War veterans buried there. I should have taken a picture, there were all these awesome old headstones and vaults and spooky trees everywhere. Anyway it was a good trip, lots of flights, but fun. We'll get to see Matt again in a couple of weeks when he comes to Utah for Presidents' Day weekend. Then, this past Friday, I sent the kids to San Antonio for their first trip as unaccompanied minors. As an airline employee I don't have to pay any extra, or anything at all actually. They were very well behaved and grandma was there to pick them up. I had to work that night and the next morning and then I flew down to meet them. I got to spend two wonderful days with my family in the gorgeous south Texas weather.
