A Few Last Pics From South Carolina

Now that it's fall I realize why people live in South Carolina: the weather is amazing! It's warm but not hot, there's a crispness in the air, and the leaves are changing colors. I love that it's after Thanksgiving and I'm not freezing my butt off.

Essie's Volleyball Banquet

Essie received two of the four awards given to the JV team; MVP and Academic Excellence.

South Carolina Continued

The South Carolina State Fair. We had a really fun day until we tried to leave and got stuck in traffic for about three hours. We made the mistake of going to the fair the same day as a USC football game...and the stadium is directly across the street from the fair grounds. Go Gamecocks! I hated them that day. :)

Essie was the captain of her JV volleyball team. They didn't have a winning season, but she got a lot of practice and had a lot of fun.

Some Pictures of Our Time in South Carolina

We will only be in South Carolina for a few more weeks before we're off on our next adventure. This has been a good place to live and I will miss it, but I'm so excited for our new house and town in North Carolina where I will become a golf expert. :)

These are from our first Broncos game of the season.

Our family likes to skip the whole "birthday party with friends and favors" thing, and instead we choose a fun activity to do together. Essie is a big roller coaster fan so her request was to go to Carowinds (An amusement park about an hour and a half from Columbia). Her birthday was over a month ago but we just went yesterday. It was pretty much perfect; awesome weather, small crowds and no headaches or sick bellies. There were some amazing rides: a standing roller coaster, a horizontal roller coaster that felt like flying and a race car roller coaster with drops so big we went airborne. It was some serious fun. :)

Oliverson Family Reunion

We were looking forward to August and our family reunion for the last six months and it did not disappoint. The kids and I drove two days across South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas to finally reach Longhorn Trail. Matt flew in for a short one and a half days. For the first time in over five years the whole family was together. We went to Enchanted Rock, Schlitterbahn, Alamo Drafthouse, and a Lego store. We played games, took pictures, had a high class root beer tasting, ate lots of great food, and mostly just had fun together. I loved it and I love my funny, unique, beautiful family.
